Candice Hansen

As a new dancer, Candice Hansen became intrigued by the challenges and possibilities of square dance calling. Encouraged by her original mentor Bruce Holmes, Candice attended the 2018 Chicago Caller School and has since attended caller clinics led by Jack Pladdys, Bobby Poyner, Scott Bennett, and Ken Burke. During the pandemic, Candice worked with Tom Miller via Zoom to hone her calling skills. Candice has served as a board member and square dance instructor for North Shore Squares in Evanston, Illinois, as well as an instructor for Glenview Squares in Glenview. Candice draws on her past experience as a music teacher as she shares her love of square dance with new students and experienced dancers alike.
