Deb Oberst

Line Dance

Deb Oberst, a Glenview Squares member, started dancing after retiring from managing materials research and development groups. While signing up for exercise classes, she “accidentally” joined a vaudeville show directed by a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette, who insisted that ballet, tap, and jazz dancing could be learned at any age. Now Deb dances ballroom, line, and square dancing 8 or 9 times a week. For the last 12 years, she has been doing her very favorite thing – teaching beginner line dancers to do their first steps, turns, and shimmies.
